  • Small Spa, but the therapist I saw for my chronic Neck problem was very informative and helpful, she showed me different stretches and things I could do to help. She took her time to locate the problem. Read the last comment and did not see any carpet except under the massage table itself, did not find the attitude to relaxed I found the therapist to be very charming and polite. No this is not some high end posh spa, but I don’t want that either, I like to be treated as a person not another number. I think the therapists name was Nathalie if I remember right. If you have any chronic problem go see her!

    1. Located in a carpeted basement. Need I say more? 2. Complaining that wayspa takes too big of a cut. 3. Too relaxed of an attitude

  • We had a mobile spa party at our home with massages, facials, manicures and it was amazing!! The staff was great, the massages were one of the best we've ever had and the facials and manicures were also fantastic. The staff is very courteous and just really nice and they're really good at what they do. If you want an enjoyable experience, definitely call them. I've been to many spas and Setsuko is one of the best. Plus having a spa party at home with friends is a really fun way to get your services.

I was recommended by a friend to try the Deep Tissue from a therapist named Nathalie. He has been seeing her for some time now and is very pleased with her. I booked my Appointment and went in, I have been receiving Deep Tissue and sports Massages for years now and have tried many and I mean many therapist never really feeling that they were helping me in any way. After my Session with Nathalie, she took the time to show me some stretches to help me when I work out. And showed me some breathing techniques. She pointed out that all my problems are on one side and corrected my stance. These little things made a huge difference in how I feel day to day. One of the best therapist I have ever been to. She does not rush you out the door like at some other places I have been. After my Session she even placed me down on a mat and Stretched me out and did some Shiatsu. An extra bonus as that felt great. Great Prices also. I'm very I found her and that my search is over...I now have my Therapist!!

  • I have been to this center many times, I used to go to Spa Diva where they use a very nice facial line, but the cost is very high. When i learn t that they use the same line I decided to give them a try. Yes the place is not as modern as the big spa's but still it is very relaxing and to me the service is more important. My Facial lasted longer the at Diva and used the same products. They take there time and really concentrate on you problem area's. I was not rushed in any way. I have since gone back many times for facials and other services they offer. I have yet to be disappointed with any of there staff. I would highly recommend this SPA to anyone who is more concerned with the service then the looks.

  • I've experienced larger "chic" spas where the prices are high and the speed of service is to crank out as many appointments as possible. While this may be a small establishment, the service I received was excellent. I treated myself to one of their packages that included a massage, facial and pedicure. The latter was the best pedicure I've ever had and the massage was both relaxing and therapeutic. I appreciated how the massage therapist suggested some exercises for my problem neck. Good value for the money.

  • I get a massage monthly from The Setsuko place and i love it. It's tucked away from all the city hussle and noise, and the quality of the massage is in depth and they really focus on your problem areas for you.

  • I've been getting a massage at Setsuko every 2 weeks for about a year. The first time was so great I just got hooked, and Setsuko has continued to provide the highest quality massage. I've tried a lot of different massage therapists over the years and Setsuko's Shiatsu is one of the best massages I've ever had. My masseuse has treated chronic pain, injuries, and illness successfully. my bi-weekly massage is relaxing, rejuvenating, and critical to maintaining my health and treating problems when they emerge. my massage therapist has also recommended herbs, food choices, sleep techniques, and other helpful strategies for self-care. she's incredibly knowledgeable about many aspects of health, the body, and its connection to the mind and emotions and always gives me great information on what is happening in my body and why, its relationship to what is happening in my life, as well as what I can do to take better care of myself. these conversations have helped me to make important decisions, to learn about myself and what I need, and to get healthier. At Setsuko the staff combine their knowledge of physical health with the broader, integrated perspective of holistic health and wellness, which I find so valuable and important.

  • The spa was in a basement two or three room apartment, half underground, in NDG. I don't remember there being any windows, but there may have been. The place had not been renovated in decades and there was no ambiance at all. The paint was chipped, the furniture looked like it had been taken off the side of the road, the bathroom door didn't close and a sheet separated the reception area from the massage room. We listened to a Hawaiian signer do her interpretation of hits from the 80's on repeat for the three long hours we were there. The massage and facial were fine. My husband didn't have a chance to remove his coat before the girl put his foot in her lap and started the pedicure. When she applied my polish, she strung toilet paper between my toes and placed my foot on her lap, while I held my leg in place. The manicure was the worst I have ever received- I do a much better job. While I was "enjoying" my pedicure and manicure, there was a sales lady who came in and sat right next to me with the owner, showing the products and their prices. She was loud and she smelled like smoke. We were uncomfortable there- we should have walked out the moment we arrived, but we had given a deposit by paypal- the only form of payment she accepts. Do not spend your money there. Pay a little more and get the relaxation you are looking for.
