I knew the best way to get into a mind-set of rejuvenation and relaxation was to visit Le Merigot's 5,500 square foot Spa. The health club featured Cybex cardio and strength building exercise machines, a eucalyptus steam room, a cedar sauna and a delightful outdoor heated pool. The latest in innovative fitness classes offered Strech and Tone, Yoga, and Pilates. I decided to pass and opted for passive pampering. It was difficult to choose which type I massage I preferred: Swedish, Shiatsu, Deep Tissue, Aromatherapy Massage or Reflexology. Eventually I chose the signature body treatment of Hot Stone Massage, smooth, warmed stones which penetrated my tense muscles. The spa offered not just your ordinary manicures and pedicures, but foot relief treatments and silky hand treatments. I was being spoiled and loving every minute of it. The spa provided an oasis of tranquility and an opportunity for me to indulge myself.
