This position is an Assistant Administrator position. If the right candidate is found, it will lead into a Maternity Leave contract position as a Massage Therapy Administrator. Listed is the Job Description and Qualifications for the Assistant Administrator position. The RMT – Assistant Administrator will act as Lead for the RMT Department when the RMT-Administrator is not available. This position will assist the RMT-Administrator as required. RMT must be registered with CMTO. This position will provide massage therapy treatments to spa clients, and provide ongoing treatment plans where necessary. ◦Must be registered with CMTO ◦RMT’s are required to arrive at least 20 minutes before beginning of shift ◦Must be dependable, flexible, and reliable ◦Must be able to work variable hours including evenings and weekends ◦Excellent customer service skills ◦Ability to sell products Essential Duties (include the following. Other duties may be assigned) ◦RMT needs to be able to properly fill out continuing treatment notes, develop appropriate treatment plans, assess clients’ needs/illness/injuries, give appropriate homecare and follow all of CMTO guidelines/regulations/policies and uphold their standards. ◦Assists in overseeing the Massage Department in absence of RMT-Administrator. ◦Assists in preparing room assignments on weekends, and other busy days, and coordinating with the RMT Department. ◦Assists in maintaining the department’s equipment and supplies; and bringing any concerns to the attention of the Spa Director/Spa Operations Manager ◦ ◦Provides supportive leadership and effective coaching that facilitates superior customer service levels, continuous learning and skill development of the RMT Department. ◦ ◦Ensures that all team members are adhering to Spa procedures; and their registration is kept up to date and active ◦Communicates and suggests programs and services appropriate for guests’ needs ◦Understands all Spa services and treatments offered and is able to explain each in a clear precise manner ◦Responsible for the continued safekeeping and maintenance of Client files accessed by the RMT Department; and brings any concerns to the attention of Management regarding these files ◦Assists in the interviewing of RMT team members through practical testing ◦Assists RMT-Administrator in completing the payroll hours for the RMT Department on a bi-weekly basis ◦Attends weekly Operations Meetings. ◦Keeps up to date on new procedures and trains RMTs on that procedure ◦RMT (when not booked with clients) is to assist the RMT department in a variety of small duties SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES (Assisting the RMT-Administrator in the following duties) ◦Provides leadership and inspiration to all Spa staff ◦Maintains and monitors work schedules for efficient and effective maximization of staff schedules ◦Monitor staff performance and ensure that service and technical standards are being adhered to consistently ◦Continuing training on products and services. Ensuring that all RMT staff are adhering to specific protocols for treatments ◦Preparing product orders and submitting the order to the Spa Operations Manager. Monitoring product levels to ensure we are always adequately stocked ◦Reviewing schedules, vacations and time off requests. Ensuring that when a team member is taking time off or vacation time that there is coverage during the leave. Final approval by Spa Operations Manager ◦Assisting in the hiring process by interviewing and scheduling practical testing for the candidate ◦Entering schedules into Spa Soft and monitoring schedules daily to ensure we are maximizing our schedule and availability ◦Addressing client complaints and guest service recovery ◦Preparation of memos on any new or pertinent information ◦Scheduling quarterly RMT meetings and ensuring attendance by staff ◦Assisting with inventory at month’s end or as required ◦Assisting with payroll procedures bi-weekly Interested applicants, please forward your resume and enquiries to: Penny Benson: penny.benson@markhamsuites.com
