I live in Colorado and make frequent business trips to New York on short notice. Dorit Baxter is accommodating when I call to make an appointment for the same, or the next, day. The spa is so warm and welcoming after a harried day of meetings. I particularly like to have a massage to relax after the stresses of business travel, and a manicure to spruce-up in the midst of my trip.

After a shaky start because of a mix up, the receptionist turned it around and had an enjoyable experience. I did not get her name but she went out of her way to assist us. The Sole Savers Massage was awesome. After doing alot of walking during our vacation in New York this was the perfect ending of our stay. Great experience and would recommend it.

Best pedicure in the city! I won't go anywhere else! I haven't tried any other spa services, but I absolutely love the pedicures - they even include a lemon sugar scrub, which is fantastic. The reception area can get a bit hectic if there are a lot of people, but other than that it's a nice, relaxing atmosphere, if a bit small.

the treatments received were excellent, the only hesitation i would have in recommending the spa is that i was disappointed at the general sense of cleanliness--hair in shower i used after body scrub, front desk fabric not looking clean when i walked in, etc. However, once again let me reiterate the treatments were excellent.

relaxing for the most part, but the waiting area was very cold, my toes were FREEZING in the spa slippers! In the treatment room, I could hear the thud thud thud of the music from the other floors of the building, they could definitely use more soundproofing!

It was a very cozy environment and I thoroughly enjoyed my treatment. I also appreciated that Dorit Baxter could take me at the last minute.

It's a wonderful looking environment. Aesthetically pleasing to the eye. The services were good. The best one that I had was the Dead Sea Salt Scrub! FANTASTIC!!!!!! Otherwise, the manager truly messed up the experience with her abrupt behavior. She was not kind and kept rushing me from the moment I walked in the door. I was there 15 minutes early!!! Overall, I would not go back to Dorit Baxter. Also, please watch the clock, the same manager likes to shorten the services by 5 to 10 minutes. The atmosphere was very nice and the staff that provided the services were very nice too. I really enjoyed the massage and the body scrub but I was disappointed with one of the managers, I felt rushed. I paid for a 30 minute massage but the manager came into the room 20 minutes after the massaged began. I was also rushed out of the dressing room, I wasn't in their two minutes before the manager politely told me that people were waiting. When I went out that was not the case, not one person was waiting. Otherwise I did enjoy the spa but I don't think I will visit that particular spa again. I would like to spend my hard earn money with a place that really appreciates my patronage.

The people are very pleasant and you don't have to wait for you appointment. Soon as you come in they are taking your coat and getting you ready to enjoy your spa experience. I recommend this spa to anyone who wants to enjoy a day of relaxation.
