Welcome to Amandari

Amandari (peaceful spirits) opened in 1989 in the green hills of Ubud, the cultural centre of Bali. Designed as a Balinese village, Amandari river-stone walkways and a high stone walls. The open-air hall was conceived after a wantilan, a village meeting place. The road crosses Amandari and the river valley below is holy land. Every six months for hundreds of years, Balinese have taken the path to a basin of holy water. Just above this spring-fed swimming pool sit three modest ancient shrines and a tigre carved in the rock. Balinese style stone bridges in front of 30 Amandari wall, thatched-roof suites, all with a private garden courtyard. There is a premium villa as well. Amandari is well situated for a cultural exploration of Bali because it is located in the central area of the hill Ubud famous for its artisans, and close to Besakih, Bali's mother temple. The Spa is located at the end of a river winding stone path and offers two outdoor balls, a beauty salon, sauna and hammam marble. Surrounded by a lotus pond, it seems to float above the water peacefully. Selection of body and beauty treatments are available, in the privacy of suites or the ball on the Ayung valley. The body care and bushes, using traditional massage, Balinese natural ingredients chosen for their soothing, healing properties. Visage, manicures and pedicures are also available.
