Welcome to Le Meurice
Le Meurice has been dazzling guests for centuries, as countless people have made their Parisian home away from home. This legendary hotel reopened in July 2000 after a major renovation that restored historic hotel to its 18th century splendour, making it more dazzling than ever. His Michelin-starred restaurant, Le Meurice, is praised by many Parisians and hotel guests as well, as is the "vinotherapie" spa, The Well Being here. Located between the Place de la Concorde and the Grand Louvre, facing the Jardin des Tuileries, Le Meurice is at the heart of the 1st District and its exciting mix of new, fashionable shops and traditional. There are 160 rooms at the hotel, each perfectly designed a retreat, with beautiful furnishings and luxurious fabrics. The decoration of each room is unique and all the furniture is upholstered in fabrics of the famous, high-end french and Italian companies like Rubelli and Braquenié. All together 171 different fabrics were chosen and each room has at least 100 meters of fabrics, with a few rooms using more than 200 yards. On the first floor, the Louis XVI style is used for presidential suites. The second and third floors, the dominant style is more rational, less ornate style, well suited to business travellers. In Castiglione wing of the third floor, however, is the Empire style, an allusion to Napoleon, whose castle was once the site of the Jardin des Tuileries, and whose statue stands today atop a column that he built on the Place Vendome, visible from the windows of rooms Castiglione. fourth and fifth floors are an expression light of Louis XVI style, with an emphasis on floral motifs. The scene alludes to the Petit Trianon at Versailles and the Jardin des Tuileries. The sixth floor is a floor dormer, intimate and very much in style in Paris. The rooms are decorated to look like Parisian apartments, with fabrics papering the walls. Some rooms have hand-painted ceilings representing the sky, others have canopy beds, and some marble fireplaces. All rooms have antique doorknobs, window and buttons function Meurice logo greyhounds. The rooms overlooking Rue du Mont Thabor, rue de Castiglione, and the inner courtyard focus on the details and guidance rooms themselves. However, the decor of the rooms overlooking the Tuileries is calculated to draw the eye toward the window and beyond the gardens below. Each room has modern equipment including a mini-bar, TV with remote control, two direct telephone lines, Internet access via television (with a wireless keyboard), bathroom phone, and a safe. Stereo equipment and facsimile machines are available upon request.
