Welcome to Elemis Spa at Village at Merrick Park

The philosophy behind Elemis asserts that beauty is not just skin deep, but instead is enhanced and supported by inner health and happiness. Every Elemis spa-therapy will be a journey toward self-discovery through the six senses of sight, sound, touch, taste, smell and perception. The spa-therapy menu, created by Noella Gabrielle, the London-based Elemis aroma therapist and director of treatment development, will combine the touches of ten exotic cultures, including Thai Massage, Hawaiian Lomi Lomi, Chinese Tui-Na, Indian Ayurvedic, Japanese Shiatsu, Reflexology, Reiki, Middle Eastern, Swedish Massage and Balinese Massage. Gabrielle’s challenge was to capture the magic and essence of these ancient cultures and present them in ritual form completely respectful of their native origins. Each Elemis spa-therapy will be comprised of three stages and can be equated to a perfectly choreographed dance. The introduction is “The Welcome Touch” – a cleansing of the feet to wipe away the immediate past. This is followed by the “Cultural Ritual” to lull the mind to rest and encourage the body to relax. The epilogue is the “Awareness Journey,” which gently urges the body back to the present. Indulgence heals. So indulge.
