We usually go to the Still Water but thought we'd try the Spa at the Cosmopolitan Hotel. We love the hotel and thought it might be a nice change. What a mistake that was! When we arrived we were told that we did not have an appointment. The receptionist was so rude. I knew we had an appointment as I booked it myself and was confirmed over the phone. She eventually found us in the system booked at the Pantages location. We were forced to go there and told by the receptionist that she would bill our credit card as they require notice for cancellation. I did not want to go to the Pantages as I had been before for a girls day and it was the worst massage I had ever had. We asked to speak to the manager and the receptionist said there was no one in. So I asked to speak to her senior and she said she was the most senior.. seriously, a 20 year rude unprofessional a senior? We made our way over to the Pantages and tried to have an open mind seeing as the spa was under new ownership , the same ownership that employed the rude receptionist though. Here, the receptionist was much more professional and very pleasant. She did have our appointment which was the couples massage, facial and tub soak. However she did not have me down for the manicure and pedicure that I had booked which was very disappointing. She did however manage to squeeze me in for a toe and nail polish. Which was accommodating but not worth the hassle. My pregnancy massage was uncomfortable and very weak. My husbands massage was his worst massage ever so he said. The table he was on did not even have the head piece so he was breathing into a pillow and had to keep turning his head. We were crammed into a very small room. My massuse banged into the shelf, wall and table several times. It was so conjested it felt like it was a joke. The facial was okay for a mini facial.... After our facial we were scheduled for our tub soak but asked if I could go for my polish as it was only available then. At this time my husband was to go to the steamroom...which was broken. After my 1/2 hour polish change we had to wait for the tub for over an hour so we decide to leave. We both had massage oil all over us so we decided to shower. The womans change room shower drain was plugged so I basically flooded the change room...wonderful. Overall a horrible experience and no one even apologized. We spent over $350 on a really crappy experience plus a babysitter and 2 extra hours of babysitting that was not expected. Don't go to a Shizen spa go to the Still Water.

The spa is clean and the atmosphere is serene. I enjoyed the 'Mother's Journey' Package. It included a half hour massage (back, shoulders, and neck), mini facial, mini manicure and pedicure. AMAZING! It was my first time going to a spa and I am very happy that I chose Shizen at Pantages. I will definitely visit again in the future.
