In an area that has a distinct architectural style, master architect Stephen B. Jacobs, his wife and partner Andi Pepper, have designed Hotel Gansevoort to be sophisticated and minimalist in the Meatpacking District, a region known mainly for its historic and commercial heritage and most recently a magnet for restaurants and shops. According to the famous architectural traditions and integrity, free-standing building is coated with zinc color metal panels, glass-sheathed balconies and windows projection that animate modern outside.
Folie, nine-foot ceilings through Gansevoort Hotel of 187 rooms including 20 suites and a corner duplex Penthouse Suite. Many rooms have windows which include a comfortable lounge in the bay window. A third of the rooms have balconies and two corner suites on each floor has a living room and bedroom, available with an adjoining room.
Hotel Gansevoort features Ono, a multi-level indoor / outdoor Japanese bar and restaurant. The menu includes traditional and modern Japanese cuisine with sushi and Robatayaki, grilling over a flame.
The Gansevoort Spa & Salon offers three hydropower infinity-edge pools, treatment rooms, sauna, bar and lounge, fitness center, and a wide range of treatments.
